Camping

I hate to brag, but I will be camping all weekend! Hopefully the weather will cool off some so the fire will that much more dramatic. Every camping trip I have ever taken has had this perfect moment of Zen where even if for just a moment, all is perfect in the world. It usually involves me being in front of a fire with some kind of beverage in my hand, listening to the wind rustle through the trees and making the fields of grass undulate like a green ocean. That's all it takes. Those small moments have become unbelievably precious to me.

If dragging 2 young kids and a "cranky" wife camping gets me just 5 minutes of Zen out of a whole weekend it is all worth it!

GTA: San Andreas

OK, it's not like I blog much. It's also not like many people read it. ( Thanks to both of you! ) But I just have to say I will possibly not be doing anything else but killing random people for the next 24-48 straight hours. Yes, I have it...the newest in the Grand Theft Auto series..GTA San Andreas!! Woooo hooo!

(By the way, thank you Best Buy for not having it in stock cuz Comp USA had it AND gave me a free controller just for coming in! nyah nyah!)

Ringtones

Am I the only 30-something out there who thinks using all kinds of different ringtones on their cell phone is incredibly fun? I finally got a new phone that plays mp3's as ringtones (if you do it right) and I totally get a kick out of having "Mortal Kombat" as my ringer. When I try to show it to my friends who are over 30 they are like "Yeah. Thats nice. Hey, why don't you come over and help me download some porn and make it a hidden file so my wife can't see it."

Is something wrong with me? I would rather download the theme from Halloween for my phone than Debbie does Whoever on video. Hmmm either way something IS wrong. Oh well!

dunt dunt dunt dunt duntdunt duntduntduntdunt MORTALLLL KOMBAAAAAAT!

Hey, I just figured out why I would want a "draft" mode

This is incredibly "duh" , but it did not occur to me that I could write out some crap and save it without having to publish it. Since I write as I type, most of my potential postings get deleted because they turn into generic rambling and run-on sentences. It would be too much work for me to use Word or something like that. Waaay too much work. Plus the spell check would be waaay too convienent. No modern comforts here dammit...just good old fashioned blogging. The way my grandparents did. Back in the abacus days before they had paper. And pencils. And light.

(Maybe I should have left this post as draft.)

Why are so many bloggers Law students?

I only follow 2 or 3 blogs regularly so my sample size is suspect, but why does it seem like most blogs are done by lawyers or law students? Is there something about Law that attracts the kind of people who want to write about everything? Just for some perspective I found some other pharmacists and checked out their blogs. Hmmmm....these are pretty boring dudes.

Good job Law people!

Am I not entertained!?

Yeah, I am.

First blog

I signed up for one of these so I could post a comment on another blog. What the heck. I might as well put my own inane thoughts out there too. Might be fun. Just don't expect much eh?
